Brussels: Part Eight

Our first stop this morning was at the Botanical Gardens which were right near the hostel. It was strange, but most of the statues involved animals being eaten. Here we have an eagle feasting on a rabbit.

This was what welcomed us into the Museum of Comics. It was hard to miss.

A Schtroumpf! Rock on!

The gift shop was a museum of its own. We didn’t actually pay to go to the museum; we just looked around for about fifteen minutes and then left.

One source of amusement was how expensive the figurines were. Collecting comic book characters is an expensive hobby. Each one of these guys is around 65 dollars.

Possibly the most blatant rip-off today was the nudie figurine that was about the size of a bookend that went for 580 euros. What?! They had better be real miniature people to warrant that cost.

Why? Because it’s Belgium.

Yeah, that’s a real guy. Yeah, he freaked me out too.
